Oops, it’s been a while since we last updated our digital home. But that does not mean we have been hibernating. No way, we even took our business outside of TWSTd and joined our Playground friends at Studio 80 to tear the roof of a sold out house! On Saturday February 27th we will return to our favorite hangout TWSTd with some special guests from the prolific electronic scene from Venlo. First up is Hans, one half of The Please to spin his deep, mid-tempo gems. Makks is to take over next and to slightly pick up the tempo. The closing set will be provided by Pilp Feeters, a coming man in the minimal techno scene. Our resident Eelco Couvreur represents the DC crew.
The holiday season is upon us. So why not enter the drum circle for a shake and a shimmy? The first gathering we announce is a looong one: Drum Circle Allnighter at our favourite hangout TWSTd. Tommy Rocks made his DC debut a few weeks ago, and can really warm up a room with his tasteful and classic house sound. He’s back to spin some more tunes along with DC residents DoMinggus and Eric B Young. And to make sure to keep you guys moving ‘till six in the morning (hopefully without the police at our door ), we called for some banging backup: The Kev & Ries show makes techno sound fresher and more energetic than ever before. They are the right guys to nicely finish off boxing day, no doubt about that!
It seems like only yesterday when Melon unexpectedly joined us at TWSTd, screaming for a shot of wodka, before spinning some tunes with Victor Bakhuis and Eric B Young. Coming Thursday (August 14th) the happy DC posse returns to Woodstock69 at the Bloemendaal beach. The first edition turned out to be very cool, mainly because it was held on one of 2008’s most beautiful days. The weather forecasts show a very different image this time, but you never know when skies are clear at the Dutch coast, right? And we will be spinning our tunes inside anyway. So why don’t you join us and spend an evening at the coolest beach club in the country? DoMinggus, Eelco Couvreur and Eric B Young will be dishing out the freshest of upfront tracks, kicking off at 20.00 hours.
Hands down, Melon is one of the international top dj’s of now. So we’re very proud to have him at our humble little Drum Circle at TWSTd on July 25th. Hopefully he will turn up this time, because some stuff went wrong last time. No matter what, Victor Bakhuis, Eric B Young and Eelco Couvreur will be there providing the beats, even if Mr Melon’s Ratio? fails him. The party starts at 21.00 hours.
Slowly but surely the sun will be showing more of its face. In Holland, that obviously calls for celebration, and what better place for a summer party than the beach? That’s what we thought! So why don’t you guys join us at Woodstock69 coming Thursday(July 24th)? Starting 18.00 hours, Eelco Couvreur, Victor Bakhuis and Er!c B Young will be spinning some sunny tunes. We know we’re asking a lot from you, expecting you to spend one of 2008’s most beautiful nights dancing at the beach. But you can’t blame us for trying, right?
We knew the moment would come, but we didn’t know what it would feel like. The 11 farewell weekend turned out to be as beautiful as it was emotional. It’s safe to say an era has come to an end. 11 has been an inspiration to a generation of passionate music lovers. We at DC skip a few beats in silence, remembering all the good times at our favourite hangout in Amsterdam.
Drum Circle evolves around a passion for proper dance music and sharing it with the crowd and the other dj’s. This formula proved to be successful last time at TWSTd (even though Melon didn’t make after a rough night with the one they call Ricardo…, next time ouwe) featuring a very cool guest appearance by Aron Friedman. Now, we are proud to present two other good friends for our next party at Holland’s most famous dj-café: Jarno and George Anthony. Off course Eelco Couvreur, DoMinggus, Victor Bakhuis and Eric B Young (making it big in the fashion scene as well as shown on the pic above) will be part of the DC as well. The date: June 21st. Time: 21.00 hours. Come and enjoy some drinks and good music with us!
